Funding Is Available for Library Legislative Day Participation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Library Legislative Day is a two-day advocacy event (May 7-8, 2018) that brings hundreds of librarians, trustees, library supporters and patrons to Washington, D.C. to meet with their members of Congress and to rally support for library issues and policies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interested in attending this event? ACRL\/DVC offers a stipend up to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$700<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to cover expenses (registration, travel, and lodging). <\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>How to Apply:<\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You may apply as an individual or as a pair if you and a colleague would like to split the stipend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to apply, please prepare a brief 350 word statement on why you would like to attend.
