{"id":635,"date":"2019-02-25T00:10:27","date_gmt":"2019-02-25T00:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.acrldvc.org\/news\/?p=635"},"modified":"2019-02-25T00:10:27","modified_gmt":"2019-02-25T00:10:27","slug":"acrl-dvc-board-meeting-minutes-january-16-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.acrldvc.org\/news\/2019\/02\/25\/acrl-dvc-board-meeting-minutes-january-16-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"ACRL DVC Board Meeting Minutes  &#8211; January 16, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Attendees: Jess, Nancy, Jessica, Elise, Sarah, Stefani, Karen, Adam, Megan <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>December meeting minutes were reviewed and approved. &nbsp;Megan will post to the blog after the meeting.  <\/li><li>Financial report &#8211; Adam<ul><li>Emma\u2019s check still outstanding. &nbsp;<\/li><li>Adam is waiting update from attorneys (per Ellie) to apply 501c3 status. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Taxes will be filed under 501c3 status as usual. <\/li><li>Adam almost complete with the tax process <\/li><li>He will continue working on the draft budget<\/li><li>Wild apricot is an outlier expense &#8211; not an annual thing as we\u2019ve paid for 2 years<\/li><li>2020 we need to pay for website license hosting fee \/ domain name <\/li><li>Roadshow fee?<ul><li> $2000 payment to ACRL (this is after a $4000 discount), food and location <\/li><li>We can use ACRL $1 per member reimbursement to pay for facility fee (operational costs &#8211; supplies) <\/li><li>We could apply those funds to the $2000 fee due to ACRL <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Program updates<ul><li>We received the Scholarly Communications Roadshow grant!<ul><li>Date: April 26, 2019<\/li><li>Presenters: Will Cross, Director of the Copyright and Digital Scholarship Center, North Carolina State University; Carla Myers, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Scholarly Communications, Miami University Libraries<\/li><li>Topics: Accessibility, Scholarly Publishing and Open Access, Open Education (we pick two to focus on in afternoon workshop)<ul><li>Not sure yet of the format of the workshops <\/li><li>We voted for Accessibility and OER for the two workshops<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Space needs: roundtables, head table for presenters<\/li><li>Tech needs: 2 wireless microphones, a projector w\/ computer, screen<\/li><li>Venue?<ul><li>Penn State Berks?
