After our chapter\u2019s programs, participants often say it was nice to hear about everything that went right, but what about learning from what went wrong?&nbsp; In our spring program, we will focus on the benefits of making the learning processes underlying librarianship more visible.  We want to know about the challenges, compromises, revisions, and breakthroughs that you have experienced and grown from in your work in academic libraries. How have these given you the opportunity to take risks?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please join us on April 3rd at Temple University\u2019s brand new Charles Library for a day of professional development and learning how to \u201cfail forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Building tours of Charles Library will be offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We welcome submissions that concern but are not limited to the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Technology Implementation<\/li><li>Management<\/li><li>Outreach\/Community Engagement<\/li><li>Teaching\/Pedagogy<\/li><li>User Experience<\/li><li>Committee Work<\/li><li>Research Design<\/li><li>Archives<\/li><li>Cataloging&nbsp;<\/li><li>Assessment<\/li><li>Professional Development<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions for Proposal Submissions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proposals can be submitted <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdIEL0vRDs-n8VLzCbpO-naWBNYno0ClGCFQXkKx1Yn2gAI6A\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">here<\/a> and should include the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Proposal title<\/li><li>Names, affiliations, positions, and email addresses of the presenters<\/li><li>Preferred presentation format<ol><li>Option A \u2013 20-30 minute presentations<\/li><li>Option B \u2013&nbsp; 10-minute lightning round presentations<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>A 250-word summary of the topic you wish to present including the points you intend to make and the way(s) you intend to engage the audience, if applicable.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please submit by February 28, 2020<\/strong>.\u00a0 Any questions about the process can be emailed to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:acrlpa.dvc@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\">acrlpa.dvc@gmail.com<\/a>.\u00a0 We look forward to hearing from you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Call for Proposals: Working out loud: Reflections, revisions, &amp; recipes To innovate we need to practice a growth mindset where we feel free to take risks, experiment, and be creative.
