Attendees:  Stefani, Adam, Jasmine, Elise, Mary, Jessica, Elise, Meaghan, Stefanie<br>Next meeting: June 11, 2020 at 11am<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The meeting began with a general check-in to talk about how people are doing and what work has been like since everything has changed due to the pandemic.<\/li><li>The minutes from the March meeting were approved and posted to the Blog<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chapter Elections<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>At the time of the March Board meeting, 72 ballots had been cast.<\/li><li>In the meanwhile, Chapters Council Representative and Director at Large Jessica Brangiel was appointed to the position of Director at Large for the ACRL. Congratulations to Jessica!<\/li><li>Jessica\u2019s appointment results in an additional open position on the DVC Board<\/li><li>Deadline for ballots is April 27 with the expectation to:<ul><li>Notify winners<\/li><li>Communicate results via the Blog, Twitter, listserv and the website<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financial Report<\/strong>: There was not much financial activity this month. Our balance is $2800 and we made 19 cents in interest. There is one outstanding refund remaining from the delayed Spring Program.&nbsp; New memberships are coming due soon. Adam is preparing the accounts and creating procedures to hand off to the next Treasurer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COVID-19 Library Response Virtual Meeting<\/strong>: The <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1GqXaFMs5rSI50uJ6fqeW_xxAKKeFf4Wx\">resources<\/a> (slides and notes) from this meeting are now available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Original Spring Meeting postponed until September 25<\/strong>: To be held at the Charles Library, Temple University with Eamon Tewell as the keynote speaker. All other presenters have agreed to present in the fall. The Chapter will put out a new call for participants in case new topics, perhaps COVID-19 related are desired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Legislative Liaison will become Community Liaison<\/strong>: Jasmine and Stefani will work together on a job description for this position and the Board discussed options for appointing someone to this role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mentoring Program<\/strong>: Partnerships last for one year. We will revisit participants in January<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social Event Update<\/strong>: The planning group is exploring dates and options for an online meet-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Blog<\/strong>: Stefani will try to write a \u201cGoodbye\u201d post or consider doing a COVID-19 dialog with Jasmine instead. Acknowledging that the Blog does not get much traffic, the board discussed options for making it more compelling. Ideas include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Introductory posts for each board member<\/li><li>\u201cInterview\u201d posts with any member to answer consistent sets of questions, modeled on the NYTimes \u201cBy the Book\u201d weekly interviews<\/li><li>LIS Student reflections about the mentorship program<\/li><li>More brainstorming to happen at the May meeting<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Recruitment of new members <\/strong>will be tied to the fall program<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Website<\/strong>: Karen solved the SEO issue by adjusting a setting within WordPress, adding an SEO plugin and appropriate keywords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Next meeting: May 19, 2020 at 10am<\/strong>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*postponed until June 11, 2020 at 11:00am<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>April 21, 2020.
